Facilities Inspection
ALA structural staff offers complete condition inspection services for a wide-range of highway structure types. Since 2001, ALA has performed hands-on condition inspection and report preparation of bridges and ancillary structures for the Maryland Transportation Authority and the Maryland State Highway Administration. Our inspection experience includes highway grade separation structures, viaduct structures, high mast lights, sign structures, drainage culverts, retaining and noise walls, roadway, and traffic safety feature inspections on both I-895 and I-95.
ALA has also completed the condition inspection and report preparation of 50 bridges in Caroline, Carroll and Anne Arundel Counties in Maryland.
In Virginia, ALA has provided bridge inspection services to VDOT in the Bristol District.
Methods of access to these facilities include extension ladder, manlift and inspection snooper. The follow-up inspection report for each structure typically includes the inspection findings, recommendations for repair, and the SI&A and Pontis data for the client's management database.
