Water Resources

ALA's Water Resources Design staff is experienced in all aspects of roadway drainage and storm water management design, including the latest Low Impact Development techniques for all types of infrastructure projects such as urban interstate alignments and interchanges, roadway widening's and improvements, flood plain studies and new or existing site developments. ALA is experienced in developing complete drainage construction plans for right-of-way acquisition and for final construction.

ALA is also experienced in drainage design tasks associated with bridge construction. Our staff has performed bridge deck drainage design for both open and closed systems, bridge opening analysis for design-year flood level, and scour analysis for bridge foundation design.

Software utilized in our design efforts include Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis programs such as HEC-RAS, Win TR-55, Win TR-20, HEC-HMS and design packages such as Flow Master, Pond Pack, Visual Urban, Win HY-8 and in-house developed spreadsheets.
