Structural Engineer

Duties and responsibilities include analysis and design related work associated with transportation structures including highway bridges and interchanges, retaining walls, noise walls, tunnels, and transit/rail facilities; and bridge/facilities inspection in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area. The candidate should have 8 to 12 years of experience in transportation related structural engineering, a BS degree in a relevant field, and a P.E. registration in MD, VA and/or DC. Applicant should be familiar with CADD (Microstation and AutoCAD) and also willing to learn a variety of software applications through company provided training. Experience with MDOT, VDOT or DDOT and/or other local transportation agencies is a plus. Applicant should work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.

Civil Engineer

Duties and responsibilities include design of highway/roadway design related work including geometrics, storm drains, stormwater management systems, and water and sewer utilities. Applicant should be a civil engineer with EIT or PE registration and 5+ years in transportation/civil engineering and design as well as a BS degree in a relevant field. Applicant should be familiar with CADD (Microstation and AutoCAD) and also willing to learn a variety of software applications through company provided training. Experience in hydrology and hydraulics and familiarity with highway design standards including those of VDOT, MDOT, DDOT or other highway agencies is a plus. Applicant should work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.

Construction Inspector

Duties and responsibilities include inspection of roadway, bridge and other transportation related projects to assure adherence to plans and specifications as well as quality construction.  Applicant should have 3+ years of experience in road/bridge inspection for State and/or local departments of transportation.  This position requires high school diploma or equivalent. The candidate must have or be able to obtain MARTCP certifications in concrete, soils and asphalt, MD SHA E/S control certification, MDE white (formerly green) card, MD SHA traffic control certification and nuclear gauge training.  Experience with the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) and familiarity with SHA specifications and documentation is a plus.

CADD Technician

Duties and responsibilities include working with clients and senior staff to assist in the successful completion of in-house design of transportation structures including bridges and highways and other related facilities utilizing MicroStation platforms; preparing contract drawings including complex file referencing; preparing contract specifications; and assisting in other ancillary tasks. Applicant should have 5+ years of experience in CADD associated with transportation engineering design and should be familiar with MicroStation (AutoCAD is a plus) and also willing to learn a variety of software applications through company provided training. Experience with the CADD standards used by MDOT, VDOT, DDOT, MWAA, WMATA or other transportation agencies is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited technical school is a plus. Applicant should work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
